In June, Saanvi became the youngest girl in India to wave the Indian flag at the base camp of Mount Everest at a height of 5,364 metre.
According to sources, scaling Mount Kilimanjaro is not technically as challenging as the Himalayas, but the high elevation, low temperature and occasional high winds make it a difficult trek. Acclimatisation is required, and even experienced and physically fit trekkers may suffer some degree of altitude sickness. Falls on steep portions of the mountain and rock slides have killed trekkers. Saanvi, who left with his father Deepak Sood, a hotelier, started trekking on July 19 and reached the peak through the Lemosho route on Saturday.
She developed nausea and fear at some points of the trekking, but motivation by her father made it possible to achieve the feat
She is also a Mountaineer, multi talented baby fond of painting, singing and dancing.
